As a busy mom with kids, it can be hard to stay on track with being healthy when life gets busy. When my schedule gets crazy it becomes hard to plan and prep meals to stay on course. I know for our family when basketball season starts for my son, things can get a little hectic.

That is why it is always great to have a few tips as alternatives which are easy to remember. They are not major but can make a huge difference when you are trying to stay on a healthy track.

Never Skip Breakfast

As moms, we try to get everyone ready and out the house. It might be a game, an appointment, or to an event. We tend to make sure everyone is ready and stomachs are full. During the process, we sometimes forget about ourselves. This is a big No, No! Breakfast is a meal that we need not forget because it helps us start the day strong.

That is why I love the Jimmy Dean Delights® English Muffin. You just pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and BAM! You have a delicious “better-for-you” breakfast to take and eat while you’re off to your destination. Also, I love to rotate the Jimmy Dean Delights® English Muffin for my breakfast at work as well.

Eat Protein

Eating protein will help boost your energy throughout the day. We all need as much energy as we can get to help with getting through the workday as well as keeping up with the kids. For every meal, you should try to make sure you have some sort of protein included. That is why I always keep a bag of Tyson Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips in the freezer. This product is a lifesaver. It is so convenient. I use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. My favorite is to add it in a salad for on the go for lunch. Carry A Water Bottle

Yes, carry a water bottle. The body loves water. A lot of times when we think we are hungry and want something sweet it is simply because we are dehydrated. That is why it is good to have a water bottle with you at all times to take a sip or two to help balance the body.

As a Sam’s Club member, our family is able to save both time and money. Sam’s Club provides its members with in-clubs saving on bulk items which helps our family stock up for a few weeks. So if life gets busy and we can’t make it to the store on a weekend we are okay because the portions last for about 2 weeks.
