Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. of plant-based ground
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 celery stalk chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 1 medium red pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoon creole seasoning depending on if you want it mild or hot.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegetable broth divided
  • 4 cups white rice cooked
  • Green onion chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large saute pan, heat oil over medium-high heat and add plant-based ground meat. Saute until browned, about 10 minutes.
  • Add vegetables and garlic. Saute until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Add seasonings and stir until well combined. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Deglaze pan with ½ cup of vegetable broth and cook down, about 5 minutes.
  • Add rice and ½ cup broth. Cook until broth is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
  • Serve and garnish with green onions.
