- 16 oz. of plant-based ground
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 celery stalk chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper
- 1 medium red pepper
- 1-2 teaspoon creole seasoning depending on if you want it mild or hot.
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegetable broth divided
- 4 cups white rice cooked
- Green onion chopped for garnish
In a large saute pan, heat oil over medium-high heat and add plant-based ground meat. Saute until browned, about 10 minutes.
Add vegetables and garlic. Saute until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add seasonings and stir until well combined. Cook for about 5 minutes.
Deglaze pan with ½ cup of vegetable broth and cook down, about 5 minutes.
Add rice and ½ cup broth. Cook until broth is absorbed, about 10 minutes.
Serve and garnish with green onions.
