Pressure Cooker Turkey Chili- An easy chili recipe that is made in the pressure cooker. It starts with ground turkey, seasonings, peppers, onions and garlic resulting in a delicious flavorful homemade turkey chili.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1.25 lbs. ground turkey meat not turkey breast
  • 1 yellow onion chopped, (about 1 cups)
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped (about 1 cups)
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. dried ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • 1 28- oz. can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 4.5- oz. can chopped green chiles,
  • 1 14- oz. cans black beans drained
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Cheddar cheese grated
  • Sour cream
  • Green onions chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat pressure cooker using the brown setting.
  • Add olive oil and cook the ground turkey. Remove meat and set aside.
  • Add onion, green peppers and garlic to the pressure cooker and cook until softened. (about 3 minutes.
  • Add seasonings and stir well making sure all the vegetables are coated.
  • Add the meat back in the pressure cooker.
  • Add the tomatoes, green chiles, black beans, and chicken broth.
  • Lock the lid. Pressure cook on High for 20 minutes. Reduce the pressure with the quick release. Once pressure has released remove the lid.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
