Making breakfast in the Air Fryer is so convenient. Actually making anything in the Air Fryer is so convenient. That is why I have been on a roll with using my Air Fryer and have made so many recipes, make sure you try a few. You can check them out here.

Now, I love making this Air Fryer French Toast recipe in the Air Fryer because I don’t have to stand over the stove and watch when it is time to flip the french toast.

AIR FRYER FRENCH TOAST

CAN YOU MAKE FRENCH TOAST IN AN AIR FRYER?

Yep! Air Fryer French Toast comes out perfectly golden brown and doesn’t require as much monitoring as cooking french toast on the stove.

WHAT TYPE OF BREAD IS BEST FOR FRENCH TOAST?

I always use the French Sliced Brioche from Lidl or from Sara Lee. Both brands are thick and buttery. Of course, if you don’t have access to either of these any high-quality, any thick-cut bread will work for this french toast recipe.

WHAT’S IN FRENCH TOAST BATTER?

Milk

Egg Yolks

Vanilla

Sugar

Cinnamon

Flour

Salt

Thick Slices of Bread

HOW  TO MAKE AIR FRYER FRENCH TOAST?

  • In a bowl, add the milk, eggs yolks, and vanilla and mix well.

  • In a small bowl mix the sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and flour.

  • Pour the dry mixture into the wet mixture and whisk until thoroughly combined.

  • Soak your bread slices for 10 seconds on each side.

  • Spray your rack with cooking oil. Place the french toast in the air fryer that has sprayed with cooking oil to prevent sticking.

  • Cook for 8 minutes at 375, flipping the slices halfway during the cooking time.

  • Remove the slices from the Air Fryer and let the slices cool for about a minute before serving.

WHY IS MY FRENCH TOAST SO SOGGY?

French toast normally becomes soggy if you dip it in the batter too long or you cook it too fast. To prevent your french toast from getting soggy don’t soak the bread longer than 10 seconds on each side.

Also, cooking french toast at a low temperature helps make sure the interior is cooked through.

HOW DO YOU REHEAT THE FRENCH TOAST?

I place the french toast in the toaster on the lowest setting and it reheats just like when it was first made in the air fryer.
